Mud Bog Race

Event taking place during the August event!

The vehicle must pass through a mud hole 75 feet (23 meters) long and 3 to 4 feet (1-1.25 meters) deep. The vehicle starts at the stop located 5 feet (1.5 meters) from the start of the hole.

Depending on the programming, two other possibilities are added. Either the version "splash" or the addition of our structure to make a jump in the mud. The first, the team removes all the mud and then fills the hole with water. Participants must cross it according to the same principle. The second, the team installs our steel structure so that the participant can gain momentum and go as far as possible in the mud.

In the case of the traditional Mud Bog the vehicle must come out on the other side of the hole, if the vehicle gets bogged down and does not advance after 5 seconds, the official will wave the flag so that the driver immobilizes the vehicle. From this situation, the driver must remain inside the vehicle until the machinery removes the vehicle from the hole. This is why all vehicles must have a hook or an easy place for our volunteers to hang the vehicle on our machinery. Then they are attached to heavy machinery, to assist in towing when they can no longer move forward.
